Hammy, do you have any more pics of your tint? I'm trying to decide between 25, 30, and 35%
Only have the pics I have on this thread so far. Need to do a photoshoot after I detail her. I really like my 35%
Ever had any trouble from the cops?

Not yet, but I went 35% all the way around which is now legal in the state of Illinois.

I see your black, and raise you white.
I wish I had white. Looks real good

35% up front is ideal, most of us have that. I went with 20% everywhere else and
it works great, you can't tell there is a difference from the outside

Looks good with the color/wheel combo
. What method did you go with? Paint at home or in a shop? I'm curious since I would someday like to make my car more unique.

damn, that's going to be a lot of wet sanding. i thought it was bedliner.

Yeah, I'm thinking of sanding it down and re-applying the clear. It was a night where it started pouring when I started applying the 2nd coat of clear and the rain just wouldn't stop that night.
I have gotten people coming up and saying they like how the paint looks though, but I'm still going to try and smooth it out as much as possible.

I sanded down the existing paint then went at it with primer (x2 followed by sanding), paint (x3), clear (x5) and now I'm trying to wet sand the car down to as smooth as possible but trying not to strike through the clear. I sprayed it with an HVPA gun with a 1.5 tip all of which was done in my garage after lining it all with vapour barrier.

All that matters is that you like it b00duh.
But for reals... needs to be moar shinier. Are you going to color sand that sucker and buff it? I know this takes time, but we are impatient. Good luck!

Thanks, banjo. I do like it and I get quite a few compliments on the color. I will be sanding it down and buffing it. I'm back to work so I'm doing whatever I can here and there.

You did something I would never have the balls to do. Did you partially disassemble the car, or just mask everything off to paint it?

Given my time frame I had to work on it and my budget, I simply removed the trim for the doors and door jams, both bumpers, front fenders, side skirts and wheels. For the window trim, I just used trim tape to pull the trim off the body and so that I don't get paint on them and don't get the annoying lines from having the trim on there.
