Bought the SAAB, sold the suby.
Yup, another wrx driver moving over to the SAAB.
WHY?? I had a friend that graduated and got a job. He was going to buy my car. That fell through, but I committed to jump on the GM programs before it ended (at the time it was July 5th.). I was seduced by steering rack changes, exterior changes, and the relatively lower numbers of SAABs. I drove a silver wrx wagon...I once spotted 6 wrx silver wagons on a two hour drive.
It was time for a change.
A HUGE bonus is the relative anonymity of the 92X versus the WRX - especially with the FnF crowd. I guess I'm getting older. My suby was pretty well sorted out, the nine two will be sorted out also, but in a little bit different direction.

Tinkered with the car today.
The Subaru Cargo Tray fits exactly, but it's gray. I have another black anti-slip padding over it. Doesn't look too out of place.
The Autospeed Dead Pedal matches the Saab pedals the same as the WRX.
The Cusco Master Cylinder Brace fits exactly the same as on the WRX. Job was a little bit easier because the fuel filter isn't located above the brace and there's no washer bottle to remove for the installation. Some of the screws are tough to get to, ESPECIALLY the top rear bolt between the two brake hardlines. I'll post a pic or two.
FYI, the OEM Saab 16" wheels will NOT fit over the Subaru OEM (non-Brembo) 4 pots.

Which WRX's (other than STi) come with stock 4 pots?
Japanesse WRX do come w/ 4 pot Subaru OEM Subaru where the GC8 wheels can provide enough clearance for that compared to crappy WRX 16" wheels.
And I think Subarugenuineparts sell this 4pot brakes.
So if you want to keep 16" stock then go w/ GC8 wheels or 17" or above.

the 06 WRXs are getting the same 4pots that I had on my suby. These are referenced usually as the OEM non-brembo 4 pots and are stock on every non-USDM wrx model (japan, UK, etc). These were grayish green with white painted raised subaru lettering. The elusive 22B version was red with raised subaru lettering - but some of these might be repainted "regular" calipers (there were no differences save the cosmetic). The 06 models are red with flat (sticker?) subaru lettering.
While the usdm 2.5rs didn't come with the same 4pots, they were available on cars elsewhere - hence the bigger wheels that came with those RSs. This also makes the GC series wheels (16x7) more popular/valuable than wrx wheels because they fit this brake upgrade. It was a very popular 'small brake' upgrade with better feel/modulation before brembos and stoptech BBKs came along. But for anyone that wants to stick with 16s it's these, racingbrake came out with a similar ALUMINUM 4pot, and I think AP makes a small disc 4pot.
More updates......soon...

20% Tint all around (Madico Charcool) installed by leeberbs (look for him on NASIOC/ azpinstalls.com)
RockBlocker Full Paint & Lighting Protection installed by leeberbs
It's pretty dark (for PA), I'll probably get pulled over for it, but it looks pretty sharp.
I think I'm going to try and get a prescription for it as back up.
It ranges in darkness depending on angles, backgrounds, lighting.
I didnt' take pics of the clearbra. It's still 'setting up'. It's not clear, clear on black. I think it would look less obvious on some of the flatter colored cars. On shiny, clean black you can see it (if you know it's there). If you're expecting it to be invisible....u might want to see some examples before you commit - I'll try and take some pictures sooner or later.

Your previous car was hot too, love the EDMs and the P1s on it. Man I need to find me some STi BBS this summer for cheap, those rims are really growing on me and how they look on the Saab, especially when lowered.
IMHO though if I had black 9-2X Gold BBS FTW!

i was not too sure about the wheels at first but it looks very good. The blinkers belong to the car; they are very good looking but i feel that they needed to be there at first... they are mandatory in europe. Good job!!!
