9-3 XWD

I've been looking for info on this car.  I stopped a few months ago thinking it would not be released in 2008. I guess I was wrong.

Re: 9-3 XWD

I saw a black 9-3 Aero XWD the other day.  Just happened to drive up behind it.  Looked nice.  At $40K+ new, I wouldn't have bought one.  I'm not in the market for another car, but I got to thinking how much a used one might be selling for.  I kind of like the 9-3 as a somewhat sporty and not run-of-the-mill "family sedan."  Found an '08 (although if I was serious about buying one I'd want an '09) on CarMax for $23,450 no haggle price in Albuquerque, NM.  That's pretty much what Edmunds says a used one would go for, so not entirely unreasonable IMHO.

I've been looking at these for a while now.  Nice cars, but I'm a little scared off by Saab's recent reliability history.  If you're serious about getting one, I'm sure you can even talk them down from the $23.5K price.  That '08 you're talking about is actually either an '08.5 or an '09 model year, 280HP just like the Turbo X.
