FS: [NY/NJ] - 17 inch Rota Tarmac II with STI's RE070 tires

As the title says, I'm contemplating selling my gold Rota Tarmac wheels with STI's Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires (225/45/17) mounted on them.

I've had these wheels on my car for a few thousand miles (basically this whole summer) and am looking to go back to the silver wheels. So these wheels and tires will be for sale as soon as I take them off the car. Just wanted to see if there would be any interest here before I put them up for sale to the "general public".

The wheels are in good condition, one rim is scratched up a little bit, others are perfect. They are all straight and don't vibrate at all at any speeds (tested up to 130). The tires are used, as I've driven on them daily, but still have ~50% tread left. The tires are off an Impreza STI and are high performance summer tires. Very sticky and have stiff sidewalls. New, they sell for $190 each on tirerack. The rims themselves go for about $600 new. The cost new would be ~$1500 shipped and mounted. These are not new, so I'm not asking anything close to that amount.

I'm looking for $650 for the whole set of rims and tires and would be willing to drive a bit to meet.

I'm located in NY/NNJ area, so anywhere within a reasonable distance would be manageable.

Here's how they look on my car, the rest can be seen at these links (including more detailed shots):

The wheels are off the car now, will be washing them today and taking better pics.
You know you want them. So buy them!

And Lunasin, you in particular NEED another set of wheels (even if you have 2 already) wink. Plus gold matches well with black.

Yes, the wheels/tires are still for sale. I've been too busy/lazy to list them and keep bumping them....

Philly is about 2.5 hours away from Rockland.  Not too bad. Plus, I'd be willing to drive to meet half way, cutting that time to 1-1.5 hours.
Btw, I'm planning on being in southwest Philly suburbs in a few weeks....

hmmm, im interested, im just afraid of the gold rims attracting too much attention to my car.

im in fairfield county, CT a lot, and it would be so convenient to pick these up....

lemme think about it...the woman would freak if i came home with gold rims wink

Re: FS: [NY/NJ] - 17 inch Rota Tarmac II with STI's RE070 tires

^^^ What color is your car?

The wheels sort of stood out to me at first, but then they start to blend in better. I think the style matches the car perfectly, the color combination is subjective.

Here's a "professional" shot of what it looks like in the evening:
http://www.plaftaphoto.com/albums/album49/MG_5225.jpg

I want to buy some seat covers (don't want to sweat into the seats anymore after a run) and a few parts and pieces for stage 2... I'd keep the wheels, but rather use the money for those things.

Where in Fairfield are you? I'm right across the Tappan Zee (New City/Nanuet), driving a bit to meet is not a problem though.

Think about them and let me know. I can help beating the sense into the woman and getting her to realize that the grippier wheels are more safe in turns  wink
That would lead to higher speeds in those turns, but we can omit that point.

Edit:
err, just saw that the image is being resized by the forum, causing it to look a little choppy...
here's a direct link to the pic

my car is black, so there is no doubt they would look really good. i am really considering it, i just need to weigh my options. i was going to use my $600 to buy an accessport, not rims, so its a tough decision.
