I spotted three of my IRL friends in there, too! Right after your spot, actually.

Spotted it at 3:25, 7:52 and 8:01. Also spotted the other low Saabaru at 1:07 with the hood off.

My car's about ready for a full respray. The paint is toast, and the entire right side of the car is a different color "black" for some reason...
Have you tried a serious compound followed by polish with a rotary? Likely, a stupid question, but thought I'd ask. In my experience a respray isn't really needed unless there was a factory application issue (i guess that means everyone, lol) or the clearcoat is peeling.
I was thinking about wetsanding and re-clearing the front cover, it's pretty FUBAR.

Eesh, sorry to hear that.

104.5k miles of tailgating slowpokes will do that to Subie paint.

Who owns the one at 1:07 then?
In the US, we would call him "Douche."

I forgot.
I'm terrible with names. I met him at H20i and again at FirstClassFitment. Nice guy. Pretty sure he said he is on here. His is an 05 that he popped the motor in. I think it has a ver7 STI swap in there now. Just the motor though, not the whole drivetrain. The car is dropped pretty nicely on coils with a set of Corvette Sawblades. It looks really good. I always wanted to do a set of those wheels. It needs to get a little lower though IMO. lol.

Here is a recent feature from Klutch Republik. He seemed to have made some assumptions about the car so his info is a little off but i really like the photos in this one. Travis Rock is the photog. Nice kid. Came down from CT to shoot the car at a local defunct psychiatric center.

The car also popped up in a couple print mediums recently. A few small photos in Performance VW for their H20i coverage and a nice shot in Modified Magazine with a few words on it from Wicked Big Meet. I will get some scans and post soon.

Any high-res versions?

Uhoh. I love ziptie stitches though.
The second pic you posted is the best of the set IMO. Few of them have too little DOF for my taste.

Yeaaa I've had a new front bumper laying around for almost a year now. I can't bring myself to paint just the bumper and put it on. So my wanting to respray most of the car has me holding off. lol.
The photog shot the whole set with a 50L f/1.2. I think it was/is a new lens for him so he was really enjoying that narrow DOF. I'll say though when he gets it right it sure makes for some crisp shots.

enough with the fake water reflections and this car.

Trying to find a Miata to build for the track actually. Project Tiny Dancer. Actual track build. Not a HerraFrush looker.
