Newbie checking in

Hi all, just joined the 9-2x family and thought I'd stop in and say hi.

I was originally looking for the Aero but they are so hard to find (hence the nickname "unicorn"), or the ones for sale are not in ideal shape.  I ended up with this Linear, still have to arrange with the dealership on the pick up date and hopefully this weekend or next.

Time to put the GC8 up for sale.

Nothing wrong with the GC, Its not the preetiest as I bought it off a friend as a winter car, but then I started driving it everyday and has served me well.  Just needed a wagon.
Will look for the pics and will post once I find them.

On another note, I called the dealer about the hood/tailgate emblems, $68 for the front, $91 for the tailgate.
looks like I will be buying either a rally pig one or a replacement sticker...

Talk him down in price and tell him to toss a free sticker in for you! I permanently glued the stickers on mine and they've held up! See what you can get!

Those look good on a black car, but you may want to get the blue ones to match the wheels on a DSM car.

Got it plated today, performed my 1st mod on the Linear (DRL delete).  I think I will either install fogs or HID low beams next.

Re: Newbie checking in

I sent the guy an email on ebay saying that I am interested in 2 griffins and 2 rally pigs, he said $40 free shipping.  Nowhere near as good a deal as what you got.

Think I will order it this afternoon, tired of seeing a faded emblem on my hood and trunk.

Re: Newbie checking in

So I've sold the Linear a month back to pick up a FXT, and thought I'm done with the Saabaru.  That car was such a solid runner and I've got it to exactly where I wanted it (LEDs, HID, Epic springs, STi mid pipe and exhaust, roof rails, Rota 17"...) but the FXT was a steal and I needed the money so I had to sell the Saabaru.

Fast forward a month, an opportunity to buy a Saabaru presented itself.  I knew my brother has always liked my Saabaru and when I told him about the one for sale, he jumped on it.  So I get to start the little mods all over again, starting with roof rails  banana   With that said, anyone selling parts like roof rails, springs and exhaust, let me know  cool

I am glad that I am still related to the Saabaru family and especially the fine folks on this forum smile
