thinking about buying an 06 aero

hey whats up guys im thinking about buying this 9-2x that turned up at a pretty good dealership by my house. The only problem is the car has about 125k miles, however when the dealer got it had a misfire so they replaced the heads and timing belt (carfax shows it was also done at 100k) after that it still had a rough idle so they sent it to an actual subaru dealership and they ended up replacing the PCM (or ECM??) and after that everything checked out fine i also test drove it and it drove great. all the carfax seems to check out.

dealership wants $9500 good buy or no?

What options does it have?  Is it a 5MT or 4EAT?  Most people here will suggest having a compression test done before purchasing.

'06 Aero + 5MT = Unicorn.  No cold weather package or leather?  I still recommend having a mechanic of your choosing thoroughly look it over.

I agree with thymighty. Having the Heads replaced is no small deal. Needs to be done correctly.

Re: thinking about buying an 06 aero

it was an actual chevy dealership that did the heads if that makes it any better, not just a used car depot
and after they got it fixed they sent it to subaru to do some more work, i talked to the service manager at the subaru dealership it was at and he told me it checked out clean when it left

im reallly wanting to go scoop that unicorn up, just wondering if that milage would turn you guys off in a car that is otherwise completely clean and bone stock

Re: thinking about buying an 06 aero

I have an 05 Aero with 173,xxx and so far so good.  up  It still has a lot of kick. It idles smooth and drives nice for mileage.

Still, have it checked as thymighty mentions.

Re: thinking about buying an 06 aero

If it checks out mechanically, I'd suggest $9500 is a good deal.
