Re: New England Forest Rally

I think its in ME and NH actually haha.  Sunday River is hosting the event and is in ME but it also says Errol, NH. Errol is right on the border.  My family used to have a camparound there, right on lake Umbagog (greatest name ever biggrin haha)

Here's the link:

The New England Forest Rally (NEFR) is a two-day motorsports event headquartered at Sunday River Resort in Newry, Maine, that will take place Friday July 13th and Saturday the 14th 2012.   In addition to spectator race stages taking place right at the ski area, additional spectator areas include the Mexico Recreation Area in Mexico, ME, locations in and around Errol, NH, and other sites across Western Maine and Northern New Hampshire.  2012 promises to be an unforgettable event!  Stay tuned as we add information about the competitors, exciting activities for spectators, the stages, the sponsors and exhibitors, and more!

New England Forest Rally July 13th & 14th, 2012

We've camped at the Adventure Center or whatever it's called in Bethel.  It's right down the road from Sunday River, which is important because the brew pub is nearby.

The bugs are AMAZINGLY thick. Holy crap.

Volunteer to work the event if you can.  It's a ton of fun, although I'm really hoping for a miracle to get my rally car back up to snuff and compete there this year (again).

Thanks for the advice man! And yes that is very important!   biggrin

I was thinking of volunteering but I didn't know if I wanted to since I am going with a group of people. Maybe I will though.

Uh oh sorry to hear that.... whats going on with it?

The gearbox ate 4th gear at LSPR last fall.  The parts to fix it aren't really available anymore, so we threw together a stock box for SnoDrift.

If I'm going to get my ass handed to me by Chris Duplessis, I at least to minimize the bruising.

I've always wanted to take an extra day in the area and do some paddling. If you have time, it sure looks like there is plenty to explore.
