@Psybin: Thanks! I definitely make use of the weight bench etc. when I'm too lazy to get to the gym but not too lazy to not workout. ha.

@norcal9two: Thanks, I've had the charger for awhile steadily doing work to it. Still needs body work though. Too much for me to tackle right now. And Blue Moon ftw of course!

@2JZ: I'm looking to bring out the subaru boxer rumble at idle, to each his own I guess. Can't wait for exhaust!

Wow. Maybe it is an Aero issue. I just had my A/C recharged and the coldest it would blow was about 40F (ambient air temp was about 82F, 50% relative humidity).

If it is fairly hot outside, there would be no end to that game in my car.

Ya, Aaron found me through a WTB post I put on Saablink.net as well. It was a great deal and I'm so glad it worked out! The car is in great shape after the repairs he did. And I've kept in contact with him about various other mods to the car etc. Really good guy!

Ya, the A/C in my car is better than my last car (almost 20 year old bmw 325i) but still on hot days like today in Sac it still struggles a bit

Re: Ikbrown's '05 Aero

Got the Saabaru on H-tech springs now and it came out even better than I had expected. Ride is not too stiff but I like how responsive it is with them installed, and the drop was just the right amount to set her apart. Before & After:

Re: Ikbrown's '05 Aero

Looks like you're getting settled in with the new ride and making it *yours*.

Don't expect great things from the A/C in weather like this though.  I wouldn't even expect adequacy in the triple-digit temperatures we've been getting.  It was the day it hit 113 that led me to get a bit of tint, just to ease the burden on the A/C a little.

Re: Ikbrown's '05 Aero

Recent developments since I got the springs installed:

Turn signal section of the taillights tinted red, fog lights tinted yellow & Saab92x.com sticker applied! (Thanks to jp92x for the sticker!)
Exhaust & accessport on the long-term radar, but my next job on her is gonna be snorkus delete for added intake shwoosh & fixing my driver fog light so I can run those as well.

Great looking car, I actually talked to the shop you bought this from about a week after you got it, sounded legit for such a clean ride. Glad to see someone else on the board is sharing garages with a sick red piece of '60s muscle wink

Thanks! Ya, I got a great car at a great price from him. Aaron, the guy who owns the shop, will be a great resource for parts as well. Do you have any pics of your Cougar?

Better to post it on here than Nasioc, I'd probably just get flak for how ricey my two-tone is... biggrin

Re: Ikbrown's '05 Aero

@Bradrcr, dig the cougar! Looks like you were the lone muscle car at the meet, very brave. ha.

Haven't been on in awhile but wanted to give an update of what I've done...

Pulled the trigger on the snorkus delete, so far I'm diggin' the extra woooooosh it gives me  big_smile
After way too much researching I also got a CB on. I took it to the shop that did my exhaust on the charger and had them make a 3" catback using a Magnaflow muffler. Love the Subie rumble & it's just the right volume increase.

Dont have any pics of the exhaust yet, but here's my Saabaru trapped in my carport because of the flooding in NorCal this last weekend...

Re: Ikbrown's '05 Aero

Hey guys, been awhile since I've posted. Since last year I've done the usual lot of mods that most of you probably did like 6-7 years ago, but they're new to me so I'm still all like  banana!

My updated list:

Kartboy shifter shifter bushing & Kartboy short shifter (realized that the Kartboy SS was installed by the previous owner saving me some $)
Custom 3" catback w/ magnaflow muffler
New radio deck
35% tint all around
had an electrical shop enable the fog lights to run with my DRLs while I had her in for another lighting issue
...and...
A new radiator after the plastic top on mine cracked banghead mad

On its way is a V1 Accessport & some Saabaru emblems & Saabaru rally pig stickers
