Welcome to Saab92x.com!
Hi everyone, |
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3840748
And it really sucks. Yes everything was locked, and there was no spare key anywhere on or attached or near the car. I figured since there's so many people here from CT and nearby, I'd make a thread. I would love to have it found, not so much for the car, but for the irreplacable paintball stuff totalling around $1500 that was in the trunk and for my $200 longboard that they hopefully havent found in the trunk yet.
Plus even with the money insurance would give me, it's not enough to get any car since my deductable is $1000.
So I'll briefly describe some (slightly) unique features of it to look for.
It has some quarter panel rust on both sides (of course)
It is Harvard Blue Pearl (like navy blue) which is a relatively uncommon color
Both of the front fenders are black. The body has dents and dings.
It has tinted windows and rainguards
It is lowered and has the stock steel 13" wheels
The license plate was relocated to right side of the bumper grille because the screws on the front of the bumper for it are fucked up
It is missing a passenger side sideskirt
It has smoke amber corners and ebay foglights
I know that if the car is still even in one piece some of these things have probably changed, but hey you never know.
The license plate that was on there when it was stolen is a blue/white Connecticut plate- 315-YCV
I would greatly appreciate people to keep their eyes peeled if you are anywhere local, and if you see the car or license plate to call the police immediately.
Thanks very much if you read this far
Just posting this to ask people in the area to keep an eye out.

Why the fuck would someone steal that? Are Hondas notoriously easy to break into and hot wire?
Well, that and they're super easy to flip. There's so many of them that it's hard to find and all that.
I mean, if someone stole my Saab. Cool. Those parts are easy to track and a Saab selling is easy to find. An old EG/EK hatch, not so much.

Hey now, you guys saw the fart can, right? Adding that probably doubled the value of the car. It's worth much more.

Yeah those are really Easy to steal (i hear) My buddies gf had a hideous one they stole right out of a busy parking lot. Police found it days later with her POS stereo missing.

I can vouch for easy to steal, I work at a dealership and on separate occasions we had to move 2 of them without the keys (someone misplaced them both times) its a miracle they didn't disappear off the lot overnight..

Also, I work south of Boston, and I drive 500+ miles a week. It has been my experience that, for whatever reason, older Civics and Accords seem to be the cars of choice for shady looking people or low-income minority individuals (I can assume they are low-income based on their shabby dress and beat-up cars, not ethnic background), along with Toyota products and beat up domestics (think Caravans and Cavaliers, etc.) There's a network of people working out of sketchy shops and shade-tree mechanics keeping these cars on the road, so people steal these specific cars all the time, often simply to part them out to keep the remaining fleet of older Accords and Civics on the road. Sorry you lost your car, man. It looked like it could have used some work, but it's a great-looking body style and a well-engineered car, so it's a shame if it ended up being parted out or ended up being used as some street racer beater.
