I just wish it didn't look so 'dildoish'.

http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Subaru-WRX-Shift-Knob-4-hardbar-/06/!Boo)Qu!CGk~$(KGrHqQH-DIEuWvcrU8zBLoOPNwZyQ~~_12.JPG

The only way that could look more 'dildoish' is if it had a set of veiny balls at the bottom. Do not want.

Or maybe want.

I'm confused.

What was the question?

Unfortunately, the same seller actually has a 'ribbed' version up for sale... <- no, really, I'm not kidding about that.

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

Here's a bunch of new updates, finished up almost all the cosmetic mods I'd been working on:

Switched from this:
http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/4FD58EF4-033B-47B1-BD4F-B51CAF7A82BB-2794-0000014EBB2D26A5_zps17388e2f.jpg

To this:

And gripped taped it up for good measure

Then I swapped in some turn signal mirrors:
http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/EBE0E551-15DC-49C2-93DD-49EB5E11E239-8398-00000501F4EBD908_zps51904e93.jpg

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

I like the stripe, but not the mirrors. I hade mirrors with flashers for 1 and a ½ year and  then switched back to the original mirrors, they look much better in my opinion and they work much better. Do you have heat in these?
Your mirrors looks better than those I had but I still like the look on the original mirrors better.
Here is a pic of my old mirrors.

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

No heat, and they are pieces of crap too. Overall I'm ok with the look, it's about even with stock in my opinion. I've worked through all the bugs but one- the passenger side has a bad bend and it's a 'zoom' effect from my mirror. Not sure if I can heat and bend it or not, I'll be looking into it soon.

Yes, I knew I'd get a bit of this, but really wanted something I hadn't seen on another 9-2X, and the stripe I like because I feel it really works well on this car and would never work on a WRX. The smooth curve of our bumpers makes this look a lot more effective. For what it's worth I have a big group of wagon friends who will tell anyone when they're an idiot and everyone dug the stripes a lot when we met on Thursday, so it may look better in person. The only thing bugging me is that I can't believe how many shitty Kia Soul's have this same paint job sad

Your last statement, lol.  I'm not a fan.  It also reminds me of that widebody russian 9-2x with stock wheels and that makes me dislike it even more.  But to each their own.  My white wheels are black now because I have HP+s and haven't cleaned them in months.  cool

So you are are at least 21 I would assume.  Can't be much older if you make it known you love beer, have a stripe on your car, and can still hold down a hot girlfriend.  I miss those days  sadbanana (besides the stripe part)

Hey, cheaper than powdercoating... On the wrx I don't care, but for this and the Cougar, stockers are the way to go in my eyes, hence why I jumped on the winter 16's. Something about having the right rims on an out of production car just seems right. Although wide body on stockers is just retarded. I actually like some of the aftermarket flares on wagons, but if I can't stretch the rims a couple inches with it, it ain't happening.

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

To be honest, if I bought my car with the 17" stock alloys, I don't think I would have changed them. I really like their look.

The 16's....not so much.

Not sure if you saw, but I did get both, hence why Im trying to stay on stockers. I don't think it will be an issue, as any track time will be for a quick test of what the car can do from time to time, if I do any at all. Just wish I could go to a 5x114 conversion when I do a 6 speed upgrade, but not a huge loss, not like the axles would be doing me any huge favors.

Not much older? Right... I just never stopped being into the same shit, (Cars, Video Games) and Beer was a career move I made in my 30s that I'd just been making as a hobby for the last decade. Plus my wife is young and immature. She got pissed at the neighbors and pressure washed 'your face' into the driveway, it's been there for 6 months. Since I'm fine at my job and finances, I don't have a huge incentive to grow up.

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

It's your car. You should do what you want with it, what we say is just our opinions. I don't think the stripe looks so bad on your pics but a pic in the sunlight would be nice. I don't like the mirrors because I had that on my own and I hated mine.. Went with flashers on the side skirts instead which I love.

Ps: Your garage seems to need some paint smile

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

Took the SaaBeeru to Stage 2 last week with a Cobb catted DP and TurboXS intake; still planning to go to a full divorced 3" setup in a couple months. Worked on a few more white accents as well. Currently working on a custom rubber keg tub for our wagons and waiting on the remainder of a full brake upgrade kit to come in.

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

A few new items, but still spending most of my time working on the cargo tub and waiting on brake parts  banghead

Made myself a DIY Home Depot bumper guard: http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/B307AAC1-170E-414C-93E7-7A707AF58520-3901-0000025B12FDDCF9_zpsa78631c7.jpg

New shifter; the 'lip' at the top of the pistol grip started to bug me. This had the width I like, was tall enough for my meathooks, superior appearance and even worked with my custom 5 speed logo:
http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/15280F0C-9B1A-4C4C-A6DC-8845FF2F879E-2688-000000EAF8681039_zps1c4d5528.jpg

Saw the Silverstar bulbs were on special at all stores this month so I said what the hell and tried the ZXE's. The new bulb is on the passenger size and man, is it whiter. Just save the receipt so you can swap when they burn out after 6 months: http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/C4EDF5E6-69E3-4926-A8C8-412C7D8C9BAB-3696-00000161977C25F6_zpsec903b30.jpg

Got in on the NASIOC Grimspeed radiator shield group buy, amazed at how much I used that tool tray already: http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/36C690D4-884C-4245-AA0D-CF8DC6376782-2688-000000EA73B9717A_zps510bc93b.jpg

Last but not least, I'm almost done with my wagon 'tub' and will post that soon. In the meantime I fashioned up a lower rear seat pair of quick release pins so I can easily lay the cargo area flat: http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/Backseat%20Pins/2396477D-2892-4D2E-A601-820656F4D27B-3696-0000015FC6EE6079_zps0c124443.jpg

Here's a quick DIY: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr … ?t=2431817

Figured I'd throw in a couple of daytime pics so I can read how much vinyl sucks under sunlight too lol

I had seen your car on nasioc, I give you credit for thinking out of the box, I personally really dislike the work you've done. I'm sure it'll get worse and worse as your creative mind continues to think of new ways to ruin the car further. I know, i don't have to look at it, i won't. By the way, Cobb's stage 2 map does not support that intake, your car will need custom tuning for it.

I'm shocked, since that doesn't sound like a Nasioc member at all.... And I used the TurboXS because the engineer thats taking care of my protune told me to, not on a whim; I'm aware not all stock MAF sized housings are the same.

Re: And in rolls the SaaBeeru...

I finished up a couple of big projects this weekend. First off was installing a replica V-Limited front lip- this makes a huge difference in the look of the Aero front end, one of my favorite mods to date: http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/V-Limited%20Lip/0595326C-F240-4E06-ABAF-864EC5C5A2EE-284-0000000180BD70D8_zps3a6da3e6.jpg

I know I'm not the first person to do this, but I couldn't fin a How-To, so I posted one here and on Nasioc: http://saab92x.com/viewtopic.php?pid=708647#p708647

Brakes are finally finished. I now have Wilwood Dynalites with SS lines up front so I can keep my 16" stockers as winter wheels, and I did the H6 upgrade in back and painted black. I swapped all rotors for DBA 4000s and I'm not expecting any track use for some time, so I put on BP-10 pads up front and Stoptech street performance in back: http://i1162.photobucket.com/albums/q522/Bradrcr/SaaBeeru/Brakes%20and%20Suspension/EF815328-F2F4-44D3-A377-FC6325CEB03A-1987-0000019DAAA9ECC5_zps2c64c3bc.jpg

Surprising part about the brake upgrade was that I noticed almost no change in pedal feel or front/rear bias as expected. Guess I may do the master cylinder brace after all at some point.
