Eurospeed, love the MkII, is it a 16v?  I think I will always have a love for GTI's, and VW's in general.  When I get near a VW, my girlfriend always says "You sped up so you could check it out"  yes that is true.  VW's is what I learned to drive.

Sadly, only an 8v, but I found it cheap locally and did some work to it.  I've owned no less than 4 VWs and loved every one of them.  I only wish VW would make lightweight GTIs again.

BTW, all of the photos being posted are amazing!  embeer

Very very cool photos of Jamaica. I got my BA in Anthro and worked in Archaeology for about 8 years. Nice Ganja!

I had (and raced) an A2 8V. Probably the most "pure" car I've actually owned. My family has had
Watercooled VW's since '78, and I personally have owned VW Audi since '85.  Still have my Audi
//S6, but that's hardly a lightweight like the GTi.  Of course the Formula V's I've driven were much
more pure than the GTi, it's amazing what 65 HP and comparatively small tires do when the car
with me in it weighs just under 1000 lbs.
