LYTM - Things to do in Portland, OR

Wife and I will be driving from San Francisco to Portland next week via Napa Valley and Redwood National Park. We'll be getting to Portland and turning in the rental car around 9pm on the 11th, and we fly back to DC at 10pm the 14th. We don't really have much planned in Portland yet, but our schedule is pretty booked for the rest of the trip.

Our thoughts so far are to check out Forest Park, get some brewery tours in and to maybe catch the Timbers game on the 11th. Pretty open from there.

Anybody have any other things to do in PDX?

Japanese gardens up in the park in NW hills, Chinese gardens are right in above burnside downtown NW.

The art Museum on the Park blocks has a small but really nice collection of impressionist paintings, and across the street from that is the historic society.

arrow-up Powell's. Deschutes Brewery has a good elk burger. Voodoo Donuts has some weird donuts. The swank bar on the top of The Nines hotel is kinda cool. Otherwise, not a fan of that city.

I'll vouch for Deschutes Brewery as well! I loved that place.

Voodoo Donuts!

Rent one of those crazy four wheeled bikes!

Go for a hike! I explored some of the Mt. Hood National Forest. That was awesome. Ape Cave was pretty neat too, although that's about an hour from downtown.
