Beantown
Horribly outdated nickname for Boston, Massachusetts that no self-respecting Bostonian or New Englander uses. Typically used only by tourists, sportswriters, or television reporters that are new to the area. Name stems from the New England food staple of beans slow-baked in molasses.

I'm out in Lincoln ATM, going downtown to Rayburn's after lunch. Only available by phone after that.

Hah, been using that name since I went to college in Wormtown years ago. I suppose you're going to say that name is an outdated touristy, media name too...

Where did you go to college in Worcester? That is where I currently reside (and went to school).

Re: Anyone in Beantown area wanna meet up?

I'll give ya a hint. I'm assuming you went to Whoopie Tech, if so, my class was either the last or one of the last classes to graduate under the original "Plan" (we were part of a group trying to get the school to keep it).

Another hint: Lincoln (I think) Exchange was still Lincoln Circle when I started there..,

I was just up in Wakefield today. I can't stand how the ezpass is towards the right. Also their traffic lights are from another country it feels.

Nope, I looked into it, but I couldn't afford to go to school there, so I went to Worcester State (hint, I was in the first class to graduate from the "university") on a partial scholarship. I had some friends tho that went to WPI.
