Re: Kornfeld's Not-92x

I went for a walk outside yesterday. There's a park and trail near my house. I love being one with tint - it's so beautiful.

Re: Kornfeld's Not-92x

My wife says that I must've missed a day or two in English cuz for some reason I can not for the life of me say tint and tent differently. Aloud they're the same word to me. Same with pen and pin. Ha, anyone else or am I crazy? biggrin

arrow-up picked on (they kind of liked it) students for dialects all of the time.  That's a very Midwest/Southern thing.  It's not as bad as one Wisconsonite dialect that got a number of us to root "Go Bedgers!"  biggrin

As long as we can all agree on what the word "tint" actually means.

Re: Kornfeld's Not-92x

One of our customers just bought an M Coupe, reminded me of this. Not sure what he paid, but this is a remarkably well kept specimen. 90k and no valve cover or PS leak eek, premium sound, tu-tone leather and sunroof. Only thing we could find wrong with it was a stuck rear caliper. I was drooling, just a little bit, driving it.

Re: Kornfeld's Not-92x

Yeah sadly the interior is old school.  Sometimes I like it and think it has character, sometimes I think it's tacky.  I was hoping to find a single din radio for my car that was touch screen, so it just had a single, smooth surface.  No luck on that though.

I'm still undecided on what I'm going to do with the center console on mine.  I'm glad I ended up with a car that doesn't have any of those gaudy color pieces all over the cabin. biggrin

That interior on the red one is awful, I just about threw up.  But I'm sure they are awesome to drive.

I am doing black Alcantara on the console and all over the interior to mimic the OEM two tone.

I had found a smooth face JVC headunit, but went with this instead.  It color matches and has just a bit of chrome.

my e30 has some aftermarket panasonic whatever.

The Nakamichi CD400 is my pick for an aftermarket head unit that matches the finish. Now they have bluetooth and all the goodness too.

and apparently they've reupped the design to NA400. not as subtle but still not neon blue/orange/red/green flashing buttons with words going across the LED screen "XPLOSION SOUND" and big knobbies and buttons for esoteric functions in the head unit.

That's the only one I think ever even existed...$600, and not even available anymore.  I found one for sale: a malfunctioning one on eBay.  Pass.

Color matched interiors are always tacky in my book.
