Re: New upcoming Movies thread

Just watched the 1st half of 'Avengers:  Age of Ultron' before the video and audio got out of sync.

It was really good.  Definitely going to see it at the theaters.   up up

You can watch most current movies on www.movietube.cc (some movies are in 1080p and 720p and some are not).

Re: New upcoming Movies thread

Well, since the original thread is gone, let me again mention that horror film aficionados need to see It Follows while it's still in the theaters. It truly was one of the most enjoyable and terrifying movies I've seen. Unrelenting suspense. So well done. Has anyone else seen it?

Just watched it on movietube.  http://movietube.cc/watch.php?v=0_KqHOgMi4g

It was really good for a small budget film.

Re: New upcoming Movies thread

I have read the novel that The Martian is based on, The Martian, by Andy Weir.  I can recommend the novel, and am looking forward to the movie.

Re: New upcoming Movies thread

Brother in law is in town. We went on a 3D movie marathon.

Mad Max: Total fucking awesome sauce. Period.
San Andreas: Good 3D flick. Totally as expected. Don't go expecting it to win any Oscars or make logical sense. The special effects were pretty good though.
The Avengers: Didn't really need to be 3D. I didn't feel much added benefit, but maybe after the other two I am a little 3D snobbish. It was a decent superhero movie. Special effects in the opening scene were bad IMO, very obvious CGI.

Re: New upcoming Movies thread

I hope Matt Damon dies on Mars. His character was a little bitch in Interstellar.  lol

But seriously, the Martian does look like it'll be a pretty cool movie.

Jesus. I had a headache for like 6 hours after seeing Avatar. How does your brain stand up to 7 hours of 3D in a row?

I guess I should have clarified it was not all the same day. My brain would have melted. We are going to Jurassic World 3D tonight.

It's awesome he's in town, because when it's just me and the wife, she only wants to watch Nicholas Sparks 2D movies.  sadbanana

Re: New upcoming Movies thread

Saw Maggie, the Schwartzenegger zombie flick posted in the old thread.

It wad decent, C, C+, maybe I expected too much with all the build up.  I appreciated the lack of CGI and seemingly low budget and attempt at a more realistic situation.  I watched it Via Amazon for $6 which is better than $20 in theaters for my wife and I to come out of it feeling meh.

I plan on seeing it within the next few weeks. In fact, I made the gf watch the original Jurassic Park with me last night to get her up to speed before we see the new one.

Oh, and "guzzline" or not, Mad Max was fucking spectacular. Definitely see it while it's still in the theaters.

Completely agree. That shit was totally bananas and I enjoyed every second of it. Gotta go big screen.
