The final shipment of 9-2x'es from FHI in Japan arrived at the California port a couple of days ago; no more 9-2x'es will ever be produced. I'd expect that within a few weeks, the supply at the port will diminish as the final cars are allocated to dealers.
This means if you are thinking about buying a new 2006 9-2x, the time to call your dealer and have them start searching for a car is now. Once the remaining ones in your region are gone, they are gone for good.
The Saab 9-2x will not return for the 2007 model year, as expected.

Pretty cool that they will never be made again. Let's all pitch in $10 a piece and buy one, then shrink wrap it and horde it away somewhere.

One thing i noticed is that the Saab online store/catalog is only selling a small handful of 9-2x accessories. I'm hoping for a clearance sale to come up soon because I want those nice door sills but refuse to pay 175 for them 
Also I noticed that Genuinesaab.com upped the price for the 17" BBS RKs to $190.95 from the previous price of around 140 each.

Haha, good one, if one had purchased this car before all the incentives, man, I wouldn't know what to do with myself, the car lost $12K or so in about a year.

There where 8500 the first year, that much I'm sure of. I think it was something like 6000 for '06. Now of course you've got to take from that your Nereus factor... I know my local bodyshop had already seen one totaled when I talked to them in January, so I'm sure there are plenty of those rolling around. (Err... should I say no longer rolling around?)
