Value of a 2006 Aero?

I mentioned to a friend that if he ever wanted to sell his Aero I'd be interested. That was a while ago, but he emailed me that he's thinking about getting into something newer and that I'm welcome to make a reasonable offer. He didn't say what's reasonable, though, so I thought I'd ask you guys.

It's a 2006 in decent shape, 60k miles. Southern car for it's first 30k miles with dealer service records for that whole itme; it's been a NY daily driver for the rest. Minimal rust underneath, none on the body, clean carfax. My friend is obsessive about maintaining it and has a folder full of receipts for maintenance, rustproofing, etc that he's done over the years. I know that the timing belt was done two years ago because I helped him do it.

Paint on the scoop is sun-faded but the rest of the car still shines and cleans up very well. It does have some door dings and scuffs from city parking but it's very nice looking for its age.

It's stock except for a turbo inlet hose and I think kyb agx struts.

What would be a fair offer for it?

With the information you provided I can only give you a ball park figure. To be more exact I'll need a little bit more information.

Whats your friends name and address? What is a good day time phone number to reach him on?

Manual or automatic? Get back to me and I should be able to narrow the price down to within a penny.

Auto or 5MT? City driving does wear everything out more quickly, but sounds like a nice car. If auto, probably around 8.5-9k is fair, if 5MT you may have a riot on your hands smile
