Fair offer on this linear?

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a manual linear as a daily driver. I found this one in KC, but the asking price is completely ridiculous. Sure it's only got 40k miles, but $12,000?!? Since you all have way more experience with these cars, what do you think would be a fair offer? Also, from lurking on the forum, I know to look out for timing belt/water pump/ head gasket issues. Anything else I should be looking into?

Thanks!

Re: Fair offer on this linear?

Yea, that price is insane. I'd say that'd be a reasonable price for a great condition Aero with that amount of miles, not a Linear. Depends on the condition of the car, from a quick glance of photos it seems to be in pretty good shape, but ... maybe slash $3-4k off that number?

Regardless of miles, the timing belt should have been replaced by now since it is 105k miles or 105 months for that service.
