FS: *****PART OUT 06 AERO, Built EJ255, Whiteline...LOTS OF PARTS*****

One day coming home from work, I was unfortunate enough to get hit by a distracted driver; the guy was texting and ran his light. A few weeks later the insurance obviously totals it, due to the retired SAAB and lack of parts for repair.

So here I am, parting out a car that was barely 6 months old to me. The insurance gave me a fraction of what I got into it, and after much thought I decided it would be best to part out my 92x, cut my losses, and move on.
Yes it is a 06, yes it is a unicorn, yes it drove amazing, but repairing the damage just doesn't logically and financially make sense.

Enough with the sob story, let's get into the sale thread!
The damages that the car has are all on the passenger side.

Here I'll address all of the damaged parts of the vehicle:
-Passenger fender
-Passenger doors
-Basketball size scuff of passenger side of rear bumper
-Passenger seat (side airbag deployed on seat)

I am keeping:
Engine, exhaust, gauges, transmission.
Everything else is up for grabs.
I will not sell the wheels or coilovers until the end of the part out. Unless I can have your stock stuff, I need the car to be able to roll.

Now here is the deal, I really do not want to be shipping hoods or axles. I don't have the experience with shipping large items to be honest, and would like to avoid it if possible. If for whatever reason parts sit too long then I will consider it.
Being that the Bay Area has an active car scene, especially Subaru, I hope this isn't the case.

I am trying to keep everything as local as possible.
My CAR IS LOCATED IN SAN JOSE, CA.

A quick list of parts I put together (like I said it's a quick list, it is a whole part out, just ask):
Most aftermarket parts are under 15k miles of use!

Exterior:
**SOLD Headlights - HID, note condition in pics, work great.
Fog Lights w/ Trim
Front Hood
Driver Door F
Driver Door R
Rear Hatch Door
**SOLD Front Bumper
Rear Bumper (scuffed)
Sun Roof Assy.
**SOLD Driver Fender

Interior:
Cobb Short Shifter
Steering Wheel - parting until end
Dashboard Cluster
**SOLD Center Console/Cup Holders
Front Driver Seat - worn (see pic)
Rear Seat Bench -clean
Dash/Center Bezel/HVAC Bezel
Subaru Head Unit -6CD
Driver Side Inner Door Cards

Suspension:
**SOLD Whiteline 22mm FSB
**SOLD Whiteline 24mm RSB
**SOLD Whiteline End Links (F&R)
**SOLD ST Coilovers
**SOLD STI Group-N Top Hats

Drivetrain/Brakes:
Differentials
4 Axles
4 Rotors/ Pads - Centric rotors/ Akebono pads, great combo for a daily, 5k miles on them.
4 Calipers

I will ship smaller items at the expense of the buyer.

Now as far as pricing goes, I will try to be as fair as possible. I will use other FS threads and posts as reference for pricing. Let me know what part(s) you are interested in and if you have an offer in mind, I will respond at my latest. The best way to reach me is text, but the PM function will do as well. Cell #: (408) four three zero - 467two

Car was and is very clean to this day. Never beat on hard, just a good daily that gave me no issues in the end. I'll let the pictures do the talking. I will have this posted on multiple forums, websites, and CL to speed up the process, if you have any fellow 92/Subie buddies send them my way or to the post!

If you need any specific pictures with more detail on parts or have any questions feel free to ask. I am an honest seller and will answer questions to the best of my ability; I have sold a bunch of stuff through forums before and actually parted out a 240 on the Zilvia forum a while back.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Keeping the turboback exhaust cause you'll be moving on to another 02-07 WRX?

Good luck with the part-out - I'd recommend posting on i-club as well. A lot of the bay area subaru guys are on there and would probably be interested in some of the parts as well.

Funny you mentioned this, a buddy actually has an 06 WRX with a blown engine that I may pick up. That being said I'm keeping the engine and a few other parts, I'll update the post!

Ugh, so sad.  sad I just got my 92x and have been using your thread for ideas and inspiration. Every time I drive around here in Boston, I fear something like this will happen.  Good luck with the sell, and the new build, please post some pictures so we can see what you're up to.

This is going to sound like a really stupid question, but I'm color blind and it's hard for me to tell in pictures....

Which silver is the body?  Arctic or Desert/sand?

I hate to see these! But with that said, I'd love to take the wheels when you're ready.  17"s right?

I'd give you my 16s to keep the car on but I just put new tires on not even 1000 miles ago.

Yeah they're plasti-dipped. Held up better than I thought it would honestly.

Shame to part it out.  Looks like some WRX doors and a fender would get you back to driving.
For shipping large/bulky items I would suggest the local bus station.  They offer good rates and parts will arrive well if packed properly.

It is not the STi steering rack. It is the '06 WRX rack. This has been litigated many, many times. The STi rack thing is false.

arrow-up This, x 1000.

However - since the '06+ WRX and all GD STis both have the 15.0:1 ratio, isn't this essentially null and void? I know that they are different part numbers (due to mounting differences - STI is more solidly mounted) - but isn't the ratio difference academic?

It would be more truthful to say the the 9-2x has the same steering rack ratio as the STI - but not the same rack.
