Welcome to Saab92x.com!
Hi everyone, |
Yeah I wonder when the cab is gonna move....good thing I can take the el to class tomorrow. If I needed my car for work tomorrow IDK what I'd do. The only thing that changed on that street since this afternoon when I took those pics is a bunch of people setup lawn chairs in the middle of the road and are drinking, it's quite the snowday block party.

There's a giant snowball fight between the Patagonia store and the Erehwon store in Lincoln park tonight.

Sounds like a bunch of hipsters with too much time on their hands.

I wish we had snow. The entire city is fucking ice rink. I fell on my ass four times walking my dog last night. Speaking of my dog, she can't walk on the ice very well of course, and she can't find a suitable place to pee. I have to walk, or shuffle rather, around my entire apartment complex looking for a spot another dog peed before she can get her squat on. Then her paws get cold and she looks at me with sad face, "carry me?"

Weathermen predicted 18"-24" in my area, I barely cleared 8" at my house.
Again, I would love this as a job - wrong more than half of the time and stay employed!

So I almost got the sonofabitch stuck last night.
Coming home, I decided to hit this unplowed lot near my place. It was really shallow at first, but the wind must have blown all the snow to the back. It didn't look deep...
I almost high centered it. Had to rev the piss out of it, basically floating on the snow. She clawed her way out, though.

Actually a little sad I missed this storm.....new skis still waiting to get used.....but we were in the Keys for most of the month so not a bad alternative. Glad it was in the 50s today (first day back) to ease the transition too.
Pretty surreal looking at that Lakeshore Drive footage anyway.

Now there is just garbage everywhere there used to be snow.

That, plus PZero Rosso's that are likely flat spotted, and not having driven the car for the past 6 months, should make for one white knuckle trip to the shop tomorrow.

I'm a cyclist who lives 3 miles from campus. A bus route passes directly in front of my apartment ever 20 minutes if the weather sucks, and I have enough friends to tag along for grocery runs.
Insurance on a car at a college campus is a nightmare as well. Rates for a male under 25 are bad enough!

Your not on your parents insurance? That sucks.
