How to post pictures

If you have pictures on your computer that you want to post, you'll need to upload them somewhere to post here.

To do this easily and free, go to http://allyoucanupload.webshots.com/ and upload your picture; once it's uploaded, you'll see a page with a bunch of textboxes with code in them. Copy the code from the box labeled "for a forum or message board (primary)" under the "Links to original image" section at the bottom and paste it in your post.

Re: How to post pictures

I use http://photobucket.com for all my forum pictures, and it works the same way. It's pretty easy to upload things, I've never had one go down due to high traffic, and I haven't hit any sort of storage limit, even with hundreds of pictures.

arrow-up  Exactly, it's the best solution out there.  For all you people that post 7 megapixel images that bog down our computers, it will automatically resize them.

Anyone know of another site that you don't have to sign up for to upload pictures? allyoucanupload.com is no longer taking anymore uploads.

Why do you now want to take the 5 seconds to sign up? Photobucket allows you to keep things organized, as well as easy access at any point. You can keep your albums private as well.

Forget about Photobucket. Imgur has such a better interface.  www.imgur.com

Upload the pics and copy the [IMG] code that they have off to the right.

Re: How to post pictures

Snipping to Imgur:

Hit Windows Key

Type "S-N-I-P"

Hit Enter

Snipping Tool will Open, and automatically start a snip.

Click the "New" Tab so you get out of snipping tool clip

Set up the window to take a good overall snip of the snip you want

AFter you have the "Snip", hit CTRL+C, or However you like to copy the picture, copy it.

Open a browser, go to imgur.com

Hit Ctrl+V, imgur automatically uploads from the windows clipboard, or you can upload via the upload link.

Now, copy the [IMG] bbc code, and paste it here.

Repeat if neceessary, per your opinion, sometimes it'll take me 2-3 snips.

Cheers!  embeer

Apple Users: Take a screen shot and put it on imgur. I'm not sure the exact steps, but it isn't much different than above, I'm sure.

add steps if it needs more clarity. I find this useful, though. up
