I have my old transmission sitting in two plastic bins in the garage. It's taking up space. This is the original transmission from my 2005 Saab 9-2X Aero that was completely torn down and rebuilt by IPT at 50K miles. My center diff blew up at 80K miles. I had the 4eat shipped to IPT and rebuilt to the tune of $1800, and from what I know the internals are OEM and beefed up where needed. Also the valve body has been upgraded by them as well. When GRD opened it up the transmission up to diagnose the center diff, it looked excellent inside, nothing wrong with it.

Except it's missing a front diff. Use your front diff and have a better shifting 4eat. Original torque converter included as well.

Along with the front diff, the only thing you might end up also reusing from your old 4eat is one of the main wiring harnesses that comes with the 4eat. The wiring loop of the salvaged trans that went in the car threw a bunch of codes and CELs and without much diagnosis further, we just swapped the loops with my old wiring off the trans and no more codes, no more rough shifting.

Notice the bright cherry red Amsoil ATF after 30K miles since the work at IPT. Like I said, the trans was never abused, no neutral drops or anything like that, since the rebuild was $$$ I babied the car until the front diff gearing decided to go on me. If you reused your front half of the trans and mate with the rear of this, you'll be fine.
