Saw this car while randomly searching for videos on the internet. Looks fairly modded. Not mine, no affiliation to this dealer at all, just listing it since it might be of interest to some here.

Man, the previous owner really screwed up that interior big time. 
Looks like that dealership has a silver Aero on the lot as well.

Hi guys! I am new here since I am in the market for a 9-2x. I saw this car while surfing Auto Trader and would like your opinion on it. I see it has an STi steering wheel, aftermarket gauges/radio (would remove immediately and replace with double din touch screen), aftermarket front seats (would remove once oem front seats are found to purchase), wilwood brakes.
Any concerns, information, comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

From the modifications it looks like car was driven hard, potentially tracked and/or autoX'd. Also engine mods/tune are unknown. The previous owner got rid of it for some reason after putting (questionable) money into it so you want to figure out why (does motor burn oil, have low compression, transmission starting to go, etc...) A thorough mechanical pre-purchase inspection is always important, for this one in particular it's necessary, especially given the enticingly low price.

Too many unknown mods to buy from a dealer without an extreme discount. I would only buy a car like that from an owner if they had a detailed history on the car.

Good to know guys, thanks. Plus It would be around a 12 hour+ drive for me to pick it up and I am not sure its worth that with so many unknowns like you stated. I am looking at an 06 Aero in MI now which is half the distance away and from a private seller.

Not even a single engine picture and the car is still filthy inside

Just bought the silver aero that was in the background and drove it home to PA the same day.
90k, 5MT, Fully Stock. They had 3 linears on the lot too. Said they pick up a ton of them at auctions.
