So--just how difficult are Aero hoods to purchase?

I was looking at an Aero that had hood damage.  Is salvage the only way to go, or is it possible to buy aftermarket replacement hoods for the Aero?  I looked online but didn't see a source for aftermarket hoods.

Are these cars a headache to do replacement parts for the front end?  I assume anything Linear is interchangeable, minus the hood of course--is that correct?

up Yes sir, there are plenty in stock with esaabparts.com (for which I am affiliated). The 9-2X had recent large positive inventory changes on many parts, so browse around the 9-2X Catalog. We only ship 100% genuine OES Saab parts and work on Saabs every day at our Saab official service center!

It's been great putting many parts in the hands of 9-2X owners these last few weeks  saab heart As always, let me know if I can help with anything.

I had no problem getting one last fall.  They seem to be available again.

Re: So--just how difficult are Aero hoods to purchase?

Cool.   big_smile   I am hoping to buy in the next few months, either car lot of auto auction.  I've rebuilt a couple Subarus, so I'm keeping that as an option if I find a 92x with light/moderate damage.  This thread is reassuring if I go that route.

Thanks!
