Idea for a bucket-less wash. (edited title)

If super cold and I don't want to do all the dunking, wringing, and rinsing involved in a proper wash.

What if I soak the car a few times, let it drip for a few minutes, and then go over it with a very liberal application of Meguiars quick detail spray?

If I let the Meguiars sit and emulsify everything, go over it again, and wipe it down section by section with microfiber cloths while spot spraying, do you think I'd be scratching any clear coat?

Thanks for all the replies. For anyone curious about my proposal, I asked the same to /r/autodetailing and was directed to this product: http://www.optimumcarcare.com/onrwnw.php

My idea is solid but I was told that this product would be far more effective than wasting all of that Meguiar's quick detailer spray. I'm gonna put it in a spray bottle, but looks like it can be diluted a whole lot to be effective. I was way out of line now that I'm reading about it more.

Welcome to the world of rinseless.  You will start scratching your clear coat no matter what method you use,  but a yearly buffing will eliminate most of the scratches.

I am coming to this conclusion... My beta attempt today, before the arrival of the optimum rinseless wash wax, was to run the car through a basic touchless for $7 in an attempt to pre-wash and break up the filth. I then took it home and tried my Meguiars Quick Detail application on the hood and front fenders.

I wouldn't say it was an abject failure, but it certainly wasn't the successful outcome I wanted.

I'm laying off until the Optimum rinseless arrives. There's no shortcut here, and I guess I knew that all along.

I would be happy with a toweless wash smile  Get a home made water softener system put together and have spot free washing that doesn't need any towels to dry off.

Chyeeeah that'd be pretty sweet.

I really let this go for too long. Needed to use compound in quite a few areas, way too filthy. Shame on me.
