Driving in Florida

Why are the speed limits so SLOWWWWW?

Was in Pensacola this past week for my brother's winging ceremony from flight school and the speed limits are SO SLOW. Perfectly paved split 'highways' were 45 MPH when they shoulda been 65, perfectly paved streets between towns were 30-35 when they should have been 45-50. What gives? Why you no enjoy your perfectly paved roads with speed?

The weird thing too was that people obeyed the speed limit! I think there were about 2 speeders in the whole Pensacola area, everyone else legit went 35 in a 35 and 45 in a 45.

That is all.

Florida = old people

go to Atlanta.

Ive been in Atlanta all week for training and everyone here goes 50 on every road. no matter what. the Highways are 90 unless there is traffic which is 16 hrs out of the day.

Re: Driving in Florida

Ha, yea I met a Saabaru owner who moved here from Georgia and he complained about how everyone drove slow on the freeways here and he couldn't go 90 everywhere like he used to. ha.

My wife and I drove from Pensacola to New Orleans and I noticed the further I got away from Florida the faster I needed to set my cruise control to go the speed of traffic on the freeway.

But yea, there just wasn't a fast way to get from point A to point B in Pensacola. It was all just a bunch of 40 mph back roads.  lol
