New member here, future 92x Linear owner

Hey guys, just sealed a deal thats gonna land me an '05 92x Linear at the end of the month.  Don't know much about Saabaru's so, most of my cars have been Mitsubishi's or Nissan  banghead
Pretty anxious and excited to get my hands on it.

Anyhow, glad to be here, hope to learn alot from you guys - and hopefully maybe get to meet up once I have keys in hand big_smile

Why the  banghead for your previous cars? Bad experiences? Congrats on the soon-to-be Linear and welcome.  embeer

Re: New member here, future 92x Linear owner

Hey there....another mass resident here...linear owner as well....what did you wind up picking up?

I got a 2005 Dark blue linear with a cold weather package....had to go up to VT to get it...car was on the Canadian border in Vt

I'm new to Saabarus too...but not subura...i had a legacy for the past 8 years that was rock solid, just got too rusty....my g/f is selling her nissan after 16 yrs of nissan loyalty and giving that loyalty to subaru....she felt that the quality of Nissan had really gone down the tubes....at least on the sentra line...

Anyways...welcome...

IDK yet, I haven't even picked up the car yet.  At this point, I'm probably not going to do any modifications until I've had it long enough to pinpoint any problems. (Buying it from a used lot, so I know Im gonna find something).

Its an 05 Silver Linear.  As for the Sentra quality, I agree!  Thats what I owned prior to what I drive now, Mitsubishi Montero Sport.  I loved my Nissan but it was just too many problems for me to deal with.  Ran into alot of issues that other owners of SE-R Spec-V's were unaware of, so I just sold it.  After 2 years of replacing the same parts, it just had to go.  Been driving my Montero now for the past 2 years and although its a great truck, its showing its age and as of this winter, has started showing beginning signs of frame rot.  Will be selling it off as junk in the next two weeks.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome guys.  BTW Jixaw, where in Mass are ya?

Edit: stupid question, didnt see your location until after this post.  I spend a bit of time in the Boston area, my mom lives in Winthrop.  There ever any meets between Boston and Worcester?

I might...can you let me know the details about the kit and perhaps the scope of the install?

It's a raptor supercharger kit with a 7.5 psi pulley on it. Has an intercooler, and injectors. You would need to get an air oil separator, a fuel pump, and a tune. Everything else I have in the kit smile not too far away either. Would save on shipping.

$650 you come pick it up. IT's ~$2500 kit before intercooler and injectors.

Re: New member here, future 92x Linear owner

I'll have to see how things look after I pick up the car.  It's ultimately going to depend on how much money I find myself spending on replacing parts once its mine.

Welcome to the 92x family. When you get the car I can give ya a post-purchase inspection at the shop and on the house if you like, as long as you're willing to drive to Malden for it. I like meeting all Saabaru owners in the area  big_smile  embeer

I appreciate it dude!  Malden is a bit of a drive for me, but my mom lives in East Boston and Im due to visit her anyway so, that kinda works out.  Whats the address?  I'll definitely swing by at some point once I've picked it up.  big_smile banana
