Hi forum.
I just picked up a 2006 92x linear with a 5 speed manual, cold weather package and moonroof. I am the 2nd owner and it currently has 110k on the clock. Kinda hate the paint quality but other then that the car has been great.
Any suggestions for possible mods. I want to go slightly lower, maybe an inch or 2 to kill wheel gap but will still need to conquer new england winters fairly well. Also want to get a new exhaust possibly an sti catback.

Welcome from another new guy. It's basically a Subaru Impreza so most of the mechanical mods work on this car too. Just take your time and read through the threads here. You'll learn a lot and also get ideas that you might never have come up with as well. You can also go to the many Scoobie sites as well.

2" of low will not conquer anything, except flat spotting your wheels and hurting your back.

I got cobb lowering springs. no complaints. about 2 inches lower.

Lowering springs will get you moar low on a budget but at 110k miles you may also want to consider replacing the struts too.

I'd get cheap Chinese coilovers, but that's just me.

I was about 2.5-3 inches lower and had no issues in New England weather
