Well, spotted another one today. Whew, I'm starting to feel like my car isn't so rare anymore. Anywho, one might have called this a "close encounter of the 9-2X Aero kind." Was just about to walk into my place of work (Highland Park Library) when a black Aero, no sport package (just like mine, woo), rolled into the lot. I walked toward it, in hopes of getting in a couple words about this site and the meetup on Friday, but the driver just sat inside and wouldn't get out. I didn't really have time to wait for him to do so (not to mention I didn't want to look like a total creep), so I had no other choice but to walk inside. I work almost everyday, and I'm sure I've seen this guy inside the library before, so if I spot him again, I'll be sure to give him the URL.

I think he thought I was just a random "Snaab" til I informed him of the subaru connection. How could a wrx owner not know this? I knew about the connection far before I bought the car.

It's funny. I feel so awkward when not so many people actually utilize the internet. I would see so many Preludes when I had mine and I'd go to chicagolandpreludeclub.com and post up that I spotted somebody. Never got a response from anybody. I'd finally catch up with them and ask them why they didn't say it was them and they go "Chicagolandpreludeclub.com eh? I'll have to check that out sometime" and then I realize, not all people use the internet to search for other owners in their immediate area. Felt funny. I still live to far west to see any of you guys. Being in Aurora isn't the best place to be. I guess I need to drive to Chicago more often.

It's very close to I-88 which you would take from 294 I believe, which you would take from Chicago. Get off at the butterfield exit. Or you could take 55.

I saw an Arctic Silver 9-2 today around 3:45 this afternoon on sheridan road near Loyola.    I couldn't tell wether it was ans Aero or not.  But there was another one in my neck of the city.

Saw a black Aero going south on Lincoln in Skokie/Lincolnwood just east of Skokie Blvd.

Saw a satin silver 9-2 on Oakton near Dodge in Evanston with temp Plates at about 5:30 or so.

I've seen  a total of two 9-2x's. One on Route 60 just east of 94--looked to be a white Linear. And then today. Kind of blown away--a black 9-2x Linear in the parking lot by Caribou Coffee on Grand Avenue in Gurnee. I parked right next to it, hoping to run into the owner. Never did. But it did scare me. The Linear had some very noticiable scratches and was in need of a wash. It's going to take a lot of effort to keep mine looking new.
