Aha, that makes a lot of sense. Only caveat I might have - proximity of bathroom to kitchen is perhaps less than ideal (not like it's ever perfect in a camper).

Depends on how you're interpreting the drawing. If the bathroom is accessible from the bike garage side, and he made every effort to seal it off, it shouldn't be too bad.  My parents have a huge fancy RV, and the bathroom is still nearly as close.

3 and 5.  Per the note after the picture, planning on shortening the couch/bed for us (queen sized across the width of the bus) and lengthening the girls beds to twin sized.

Main battery might be toast.  Need to check the frame rail one tomorrow and see how it's doing.  Not enough hours in the day...

Picked up 2x group 65 batteries and a noco genius onboard charger. More than I was hoping to spend but hopefully it gets me up and running. Will install this weekend, impromptu trip to northern Cali put a pause on activities.

Yeah, I guess.  I was going to blame the iphone which seems to mangle the shit out of everything I try to type, but it probably didn't do that one.   

I'm not sure if there is a cheap way to get any stuff shipped that way.  I shipped an engine in a crate on Amtrak from Seattle to somewhere in Iowa for maybe $150 but that was in 2004 or 2005.

No I haven't.  I assumed Idaho had some kind of urban environment and that you lived near it.  Taterville is making sense now.

I seem to recall egging someone on into taking a bus conversion route a couple of years ago, and I feel it might have been you.  I apologize in advance.

I'm loving the two sets of doors, though.  Consider in your planning that you might not be spending that much time inside the bus, other than to sleep and drive.  And poop.  If it's for summer only trips you can set up a 'kitchen' and shower outdoors and save yourself that space.

Instead of Dynamat I can recommend Frost King insulation its cheap but you can lay it double or triple. I double layered it into my car.

I have the Frost King insulation in my car for the past three years and never had any smell or fumes of it.
Just my .02 cents but maybe its worth it for the bus.
