I bought a vf39 that I'm swapping into my aero this week, although Im not quite sure what I should get for an exhaust. Can I just run my stock exhaust safely? Any better options for more power that's on the cheap side but not loud? I don't want anything loud

For example on an otherwise stock 05 Aero, adding a VF39 will require a tune.
Cobb already has an accessport map for this I believe, which would support either a stock or aftermarket turboback exhaust
There is some discussion of boost creep with a bellmouth downpipe. But honestly on a car without a ton of mods you should really just focus on trying to make sure you keep the oil topped up, premium fuel, and not overboosting

Yea I plan on running stock exhaust for a while. I was just wondering what a good exhaust would be for later on. As far as other things I need to do, I am going to do it soon and new injectors and fuel pump. Any other suggestions on things I should upgrade? What else can I do to get me more power

that exhaust sounds really good. thats just a stock sti exhaust? what year?

STi USDM 04-07, JDM 01-07 will fit. If you buy a JDM you'd keep your USDM intermediate pipe.

FYI, I can tune out pretty much all boost anomalies insanely easily since switching to a gm bcs, which is a super inexpensive 3-port bcs. Also the finer control and targeting is so much better, on both my cable-throttled, plain cammed engine and my cousin's dbw/avcs STI motor. I'm pretty sure any professional tuner you can find has experience with them as well.

was looking to get the car tuned after i replace the turbo with the vf39, and the injectors and fuel pump. And i would probably end up replacing the exhaust later on. Does it matter if i get it tuned before or after i change the exhaust?

also, im in the market for the injectors and fuel pump. Does anyone know exactly what injectors and fuel pump i need to run the vf39 on my 92x? any suggestions?

Wow, much louder than I expected, wonder how much of that is due to no cats? You've got an aftermarket DP with that? I have a B&B catted DP and the stock catback. It is rusting apart and too quiet, I want something just a bit louder. STI catback might do it.

Walbro Fuel pump. Not sure what model though, maybe 255? Use the search bar my friend. Surprisingly you are not the first person to put a VF39 in.
