Catback "Delete" options? (only for the track)

Hey Guys,
So my buddies I sometimes do track days with always bitch that my car is too quiet on the track, and I guess it's useful to hear other cars out there.  Well now that I've gone even quieter by switching back to the Stock STI catback (I'm old now), I could actually benefit from hearing my car more over the windows being down, and other people's loud track cars, at the often-windy tracks I frequent.

I usually get there early and do some track setup, and I'd have plenty of time to switch out my catback.

Does anyone make some kind of simple down-angle "dump tube" or something that bolts up to 3" down pipes?
What do you guys recommend for your track cars?

When searching I keep coming across electronic cutouts, but then read that they typically don't last.

Thanks for any advice!

I have no idea if someone makes this part or not, but I can't imagine that an exhaust shop would have a hard time making one for you. It's literally one flange, a single mandrel bend, a slash cut, and some way to mount it.

It would take you 3x longer to remove the STI catback than to install this dump tube.

You will definitely want some sort of heat protection on the side skirt where it exits the car...

I suggest dual exhaust dumps behind the front tires, straight off the turbo.  roxor

I had an exhaust shop make the catback for my Saabaru and have had to come back to them to make a couple adjustments, all for a very reasonable rate. I'm sure you could get one made for less than $100.

Yeah here in Chicago I'd just take it over to the Velasquez Bros. muffler shop and they will build it from scratch for you and let you guide them under the car while they work.  I had them replace my old axleback's exhaust hangers for $20.

Cheap muffler shops are perfect for this kinda thing.

Sounds like all you need is a manual cutout, placed somewhere relatively easy to access for when you want to uncap it at the track.
This is basically what I have on my Camaro, except I also have the electronic butterfly valve so I don't have to climb under the car.
