Re: Tangerine Scream Focus ST

I think I've seen more issues with Android devices than iOS but not sure.  Gonna get a Pixel soon so I guess I will find out.

Re: Tangerine Scream Focus ST

iOS cannot do texting with handsfree. The handsfree button is useless.

*push button*
Navigation.
*reads menu options back*
point of interest
*reads menu options back*
Rochester
*more menu options*
...and so on and so forth.

You ever try it in iOS? "Get directions to Home Depot." Done. No unnecessary chattiness. I wish they'd have the option to just activate Siri with the hands-free button.

Not to mention they want to charge a couple hundred dollars for a new maps file. The old one was terribly out of date. The new one will be by the time it arrives. I just use my phone. Always up to date, never any issues with voice recognition, actually picks a good route and gives accurate time estimates. Sync does none of this. I would happily shell out a grand to get CarPlay.

Yes, the sound quality of the system is good, but that's the only nice thing to say about it.

Somehow, it manages to fuck up "Call Brittany Barr" (pronounced "bar") about 20-30% of the time. Talking quickly or slowly, doesn't matter. It's not a difficult name. Fuck Microsoft Sync.

Just some update photos. Took her out the other day when she was extremely warm.

Also ordered these SpecD projector headlights. Going to mate them with some LED H1 bulbs.

And the 92x unturned and still running the winter months.

Re: Tangerine Scream Focus ST

So recent updates for the FoST. The weather has actually been great in PA this year so it has spent very little time couped up in the garage.

Most recently it went in for Warranty and TSB work. It had all three motor mounts changed out, door latches replaced and body control module replaced all for $0 cost.  So to explain to issue with the 13's is Ford put the SE motor mounts in the ST which caused the cabin to shutter when you tried to get on it.  But no more. Ford even installed my CFM RMM over the electric one for the service. So after getting it back went for a spirited drive and for once spun the tires like a normal FWD car. The shifting has also improved as well.
Really happy I made the change. I kind of miss all wheel drive at times but still love this platform Ford created.
So while my car was in service I was given a loaner of a 2017 Expedition. Actually enjoyed my experience with this large Ecoboost SUV. Nice luxury features and most likely am considering purchasing for the family car down the road.

Other updates, I have installed Spec D Projectors with LED headlight and fog lights and also have installed my Depo racing charge pipe.

My wife is getting 34mpg in her standard focus with AT.  I had no idea fuel economy would be 25% less with the sporty one.

Mixed driving or highway?

This is daily MPG with a good amount of stop and go. My highway is about 30 mpg.

That's her over all MPG, she drives about 2/3 HWY and 1/3 in town for commute.  Now that she switched jobs a couple weeks ago, I think it will drop.  Now it's all in town, but she only goes 3 mi each way.

I like the headlights.

I saw this same color show up on my local CL... I was tempted to make an offer, but I just don't think I can drive an orange car.  I like it though.
