CV axle install gone wrong? Please help

I installed a new front passanger side CV axle but the inner boot is heavily stretched as seen in the picture. When I feel the inside of the boot towards the transmission, the end of the joint doesn't seem to be there I can't feel it. Car is 05 Saab 92x and I got the part from autozone #10432N, same part listed for the Subaru impreza outback. Seems like the axle is too short from the picture and how it squeeks when I turn the wheel all the way to the right, but I can't feel the joint when I press my fingers in the boot which is what I would feel if the axle was too short right? Is it the wrong part or did I install it wrong? The test drove felt super smooth except when the wheel was turned right it squeeked, presumably from the axle turning against the boot because it's so tight?

should be the correct part number.  It's what I bought.

Boot definitely looks funky.

Autozone site, I think, has a length spec on it.  Does the part match?  Did you hold it up to the part you removed?

Oh boy...  Autozone STILL has the wrong axles in the system for wagons?

Let me find my old thread on this stupid issue...

Re: CV axle install gone wrong? Please help

if it was a sedan axle on a wagon, it would "too compressed" not "too stretched".
What I think you have here is a crappy axle, because the aftermarket ones tend to have poor quality control
Maybe just get a used OEM one on ebay? i dont have another good recommendation because new OEM ones are hilariously expensive

Yeah, i'd get another and see how it goes, that looks really odd. I have a couple Cardone axles from Rockauto, so far so good.
