Is this 9-2X worth the buy?

Hey everyone -

I've never owned a 9-2X but I've wanted to for a long time. I currently own a junky Saturn and have been looking for something new for a while, and this caught my eye:
https://madison.craigslist.org/ctd/6006784109.html

I went to the dealership to test drive the car. Here are a few things that I noticed:

-The steering is VERY tight. Are 9-2Xs usually like this, or could there be a power steering problem? The wheel isn't hard to move, but you definitely have to pull on it to steer and it doesn't straighten out very quickly when you let go of it. No other car that I have driven is like this.

-The shifter is very hard to move and get out of park. The dealer didn't really say anything about this. Again, in this type of car, is this normal, or might the shifter cable need to be lubed up?

-Head gaskets HAVE been replaced/worked on. The dealer told me he still has some follow up work to do (car overheats if you have it running for too long) with this before he can let me take in on the highway and possibly buy it.

Other than that, everything else seems to work fine. The transmission shifts smoothly. I have yet to drive it on the highway, and will be visiting the dealer again next week after the parts he needs to finish working on the engine are installed. Do you see any warning signs here or does this seem like a good deal? Are there any warning signs I should look for when I return?

The few 9-2Xs that I've seen in the area go for around that price or a little bit higher. What would you say is a reasonable price?

- Linear
- Automatic
- Overheating Issues
- Transmission Issue

For my area KBB shows $3000 for a Linear in very good condition.
