Body side guards/moldings on 92X?

Hi everyone,

I always enjoyed the look of the outback sport with these side door guards, and want to add these side moldings/guards to my Linear.

Any idea on where I can find them or what terms to search for?

Also, does anyone have a pic of them on a 92x?

Re: Body side guards/moldings on 92X?

This is my car when I bought it and it had the side moldings on it. I'm pretty sure it was a dealer option. I have since taken them off but I have no idea where you could find some besides possibly checking ebay.

It's a preferential thing. I dont mind them and think they make great practical sense in a couple ways.

Where to find them? Good question! I'd probably look for universal cut to fit stuff on eBay or maybe there are companies that do one off orders based on factory dimensions.

the 06-07 outback sport has side molding, but you'd need to drill holes in your 92x doors to make them fit.

Drill holes? Ouch, I thought it's just a double sided tape or something.

Any pictures showing this?

well i should have said "to make them fit like OEM"
you could just use double-sided tape i guess

You guys must live in a really nice and considerate place in America because I get pissed every time I get a new door ding.  My old Outback had it and thought it was terrible looking.  Now that I don't have it, all the dings make the side of the Saab look terrible.

Any links on where to order these? Direct from the subaru dealer?

Re: Body side guards/moldings on 92X?

@ahmed I'm about to remove mine from a 2005 Aero, still in good shape minus some fading (nothing that couldn't be fixed with Wipe New). If they're still intact when I get them off I'll reach out and see if we could arrange something.
