NEW PRICE $6450 2005 Aero 5MT 122K miles

NEW PRICE, lowered asking price to $6450.

I recently picked up a 2015 Volt and am sadly putting my 2005 9-2x Aero up for sale.  This is easily the best car I've ever owned, so much fun to drive and so reliable.  Wish I could keep it my son until he turns 16, but really I just wish I could keep it as my fun weekend car.  But I can't so here's the low down on the car:

ASKING PRICE: $6450

Here are the details:
5 speed manual transmission
122,500k miles
3rd owner
Black exterior.
Sport package (17s, moonroof)
Premium package (leather, door inserts, xenon headlamps)
2 sets floormats
2 shift knobs (stock and Momo)
Rubber mat hatch floormat.
Hatch netting.

THE GOOD
CA car (originated in FL, but sold as new in Sherman Oaks, CA and car has lived in CA it's entire life).
All stock
NO accidents
All major work done (timing belt and clutch already replaced).
Takata Airbag recall done
Rear hatch window recently re-tinted
Brand new battery installed in February
MB Quartz front separates and rear speakers

THE BAD
No cold package
PS pump issue as the cold/early morning whine is present but goes away as soon as the car warms up.  I purchased another OEM PS pump used from another member of the forum in case the original went bad and will include it.
1 mismatching tire, I had a complete set of Sumitomo HTR A/S POs but one of the tires kept losing air and tried to plug it but wouldn't hold air so I bought a used Hankook Ventus to replace the bad tire.
Tint peeling in rear side windows in hatch
General Wear and tear from age, minor dings/dents/scrapes on the body of the car, the hood scoop is fading as well as the part of the rear hatch where the make/model is "written" if that makes sense.  Also, my wife very recently backed up and accidentally swiped the passenger side by the rear wheel well and scraped it there's a close up photo of the damage included in the photos I posted on flickr.
Glove compartment does not hold open on its own, one of the supports broke so the compartment opens wide open.

FULL DISCLOSURE
I've included in the photos two pictures of documents from Nightmotorsport, a shop in Bloomington, CA near where I live in the Inland Empire.  The user ZASO was very interested in my car and came out to look at it, drive it, and take it to Nightmotorsport for a diagnostic.  You can see the diagnostic vehicle inspection report and invoice, Zaso paid $200 for the diagnostic and I want to share it with all potential buyers...full disclosure here, s here's what the shop listed in the comments section:

Qt low oil
Coolant test is loosing pressure
Power steering pump issue
Possible headgasket
Shocks needs to be replaced
Clutch
Shifter worn
Engine possible replacement due to oil consumption

Zaso told me the mechanic said this was a clean car and a good "project car" and the main concern is that the car may need to have the engine replaced due to the fact that it burns up oil (about a quart or so) between oil changes.

Not sure if I buy this conclusion, in the past Ive been told in the past that my car "runs rich" and that while it does burn off and consume oil, that this is typical of these cars.  I am usually a quart or quart and a half low whenever I change my oil so this has not been a concern of mine in the past.

PM if you are interested in seeing the car in person I'll get back to you as soon as I can.  THANK YOU!

Here's the link to photos of the car, I'm trying to make sure you all can see the photos and hope I'm doing this right.

You may want to fix the header. You will have a lot of interest for $720. Also, the oil consumption is not alarming. Many others have been the same without any problems.

Thank you for pointing that out, changed the header to my proper asking price of $7200, good catch!

Is it still burning oil after changing out the head gaskets?

Haven't changed the gaskets recently so unsure if that is the problem.  I have always experienced some oil loss between oil changes.

I think the dude thought you changed the head gasket when you said you fixed the header (subject header).

That's a lot of money for a car needing a lot of potential work

qft

As info, my Aero would use between 3/4 to 1 qt of oil between changes, right from the beginning of my ownership - that never changed in 120k.

Surprisingly mine didn't use up any oil when I had it
