Hi guys and gals,
I'm a new addition to this Saabaru game and loving almost every minute of it so far. I started to look at these last fall when my truck was falling victim to the New England salt. I had been looking at a little bit of everything, or at least stuff that was available in a MT, and was thinking about the mazdaspeed3 or maybe even an A5 to continue my VW addiction. That was when I ended up on the phone with dotmaster and he regaled me with his dream of the ultimate sleeper van. The conversation ended with a plan to finish the van and sell me a bright red, tastefully modified, 06 Aero. I was very excited about this new plan and happy to know i would be buying a car i knew the history of. So i started reading about them here and following some of the great builds that are so meticulously documented by you all.
Then one day dotmaster called me up and told me there was a silver version of his car with less miles, 1,960 miles closer to me and I should check it out. Thats when I met ronp. I would also like to offer a half-hearted apology to those who were waiting to buy this car after i left his house that night. I ended up buying the car from Ronp because he needed to make some space in his collection.

Prior to this weekend it has stayed mostly stock. I put a new head unit in to get a bluetooth connection and I installed Xpel headlight protectors to keep those babies clear and crisp. I've heard a lot of talk about people thinking these lights are sub-par, but i love them. My 01 Silverado had the best high beams I've ever seen in a car and my 92x is a close second. So far as I can tell they are stock, and I think they're great.

I will do my best to keep this updated as I continue my 92x journey and I owe many thanks to my old friend dotmaster and my new friend ronp.
