They are shutting down OHare at 4pm tomorrow (tues) till thursday.... I just got to Milwaukee. I was supposed to go to Winnipeg tomorrow and come back on Wed but with this closure it means that I would have been stuck in Winnie till Thursday, which is a day off. No way in hell I'm doing that. My wife is actually driving up to Milwaukee right now to pick me up, she must really like me.

Well, this is from the United operations side, I'm not sure what American will do but I would imagine something similar.

She's on United.

In all honesty, this late in the season, the novelty has worn off and I just want it to get warm again.
Same. Well, I could go for some more heavy snow fall, but the way everyone else drives in it just kills the fun for me. If you guys don't already know, Indiana people DO NOT know how to drive in any form of precipitation. Period.
After enduring Indiana for 5 years I'd argue that they don't know how to anything. period.
I'd have to agree. I've been here for a full decade now (wow) and I'm really getting sick of it.

Stocking up on frozen food and Mtn Dew, classes got canceled for today, so I'm guessing tomorrow will be much of the same. Time to play HoN until my fingers go numb.

I am willing to bet the forecasts of doom are way overblown.

I purchased First Strike this morning. The way the old guys at work are talking, I'll get a full day to learn all the camping spots on the new maps tomorrow.

I disagree. I mean I'm not worried or anything by any means, but I think this one will get nasty.
It will be interesting to see. My forecast of
stands.

Yeah, my today and tomorrow classes got canceled already, the radar looks nasty. This looks to be the real deal.

And here it comes.
Possibly coming down at 3-4" per hour overnight!
That will definitely make it the craziest blizzard I've ever seen.

A little taste of Hawaii in a blizzard.

I teach a class today and it took me 1hr roundtrip driving from Lakeview to Rogers Park and back at 3pm.
Right now there is no real snow, but it is blowing. IDK I still think this'll be overblown. Theres not much accumulation here on Irving Park and Lincoln.
Just ran some errands and the car was a blast and very controlled-- however some shitty mustang revved its engine coming down Lincoln at addison and almost skidded sideways into me while I was walking
what a fucking douche.
Was at the Jewel earlier and everybody was freaking out like theyll never be able to buy frozen pizzas again. Ahhh the culture of fear....
I'm going to a beer tasting tonight. Ska Brewing at the Irish Bistro on Lincoln.

My power just blinked off for about 20 seconds!

Just came back from a little drive. I HAD to get some redbox movies so I went out and had myself some powersliding fun. I absolutely love my car with snow tires on. Like everyone says, you just keep going and going, everybody else is at a stand still, love it! It is nasty out here. Probably 6+ inches and windy like hell.
EDIT:
Don't know why but I went out in the garage and took a pic of the car, it had a lot more snow on it when I came in 30 minutes ago ish.

Not really funny, mang.
I've got my ipad and phone charged just in case.
Good thing I have a bar within walking distance of my house. And guns.

I heard the winds are blowing apart that dump Wrigley Field.

Update from the far northwestern burbs or whatever you want to call it. I just went out to take some pics, and get the dog to run a bit.
Pretty wild out there. The drifts are huge. Several areas in my yard were higher then my knee.
I was pretty surprised when I opened the garage door...

It looks a lot better then it was out there.... so much wind and snow. Looks pretty calm in the pics.

She was very
with me taking pictures.

The wind is crazy here near Wrigley, can't even see the hospital that's across the street anymore.
