Latest issue of AutoWeek (1/30/2006):

saab 9-2x was the top selling car by percentage for women age 16 to 35. There is even a picture of the 9-2x in the article.

other chick cars include the mazda 3 and Porsche Boxster

[the statistics mentioned come from the Power Information Network]

Well then that must account for just about every 9-2x owner who hasn't made it to the forum yet.

"By percentage" must mean that the percentage of 9-2x's that go to women is high, not that a large percentage of women own 9-2x's, right?

I didnt buy the car because it was a "man's car" or it was a "woman's car" I bought because of what it was. If it is a "woman's car" that is great for me because the insurance for it should be lower....

I was reading the quote from autoweek aloud to my wife last night and she asked the same question. I'm guessing they looked at the total number of 9-2X owners and found that the majority were women. I seriously doubt they sold enough of them to actually come out as one of the most popular cars among women.

The Scion tC and Mazda 3 were the other 2 in the article by the way. I guess women have good taste, those are both very good cars.

is it just me but there are no name tags on the car? i find the car so expensive sometimes for so little differences from her sister that i would be chicken to get rid of these name tags.They are worth a lot to me i guess... 92x roxor
