Welcome to Saab92x.com!
Hi everyone, |
Pics the owner emailed to me when his car was in Virginia with the 19" wheels and coilovers. Because of the bad Hawaii roads, he replaced the coilovers with the stock suspension and put the stock wheels back on. He sold the coilovers to a friend.
The last pic is when he dove it at the Nurburgring in Germany.
He also took it up 165 mph on the Autobahn.

FUCK. YES. Congratulations! You haz unicorn. As I stated before, this is one of my all-time favorite cars, and my go-to car of choice when someone asks me what my favorite real world car would be. These are so hard to find in at all, let alone in great shape like this one. I'm soooo jealous.

speed808, you're going to need to get me the P/N on the center caps on the Fliks. I've been searching for an Audi cap that fits the Flik center cap hole. TIA.

Ok. Will let you know after I pick up the car.

Geez, VA, Germany, and now HI? This car gets around...
Awesome car, great purchase, much jealousy.

Ya, really, all it needs is a visit to Japan and its essentially been around the world.
And thank's Speed. The "local" stealer isn't too keen on me sitting in their stock room with a set of calipers.

Yeah, the guy was stationed in Germany and bought it directly from the Audi factory. Took it on the Autobahn, and the Nurburgring.
Then he was transferred to Virginia. And then to Hawaii.

What coilovers did he have on there? Good coilovers shouldn't make the roads of Oahu intolerable.
I like the associated history. Great find!

The owner said it was Bilstein coilovers.

Ah, Bilsteins. I had a set of Bilstein struts and shocks on my GTI and the ride was, indeed, unbearable.
I had to replace them with a softer setup, too.

Imola Yellow B6 S4 Avant has more unicorn street cred.

Scargo,
The owner got the center caps in Kaiserslautern, Germany at a performance shop where he bought the wheels, suspension, brake rotors, brake pads and steel braided brake lines. He doesn't know if you can get it in the states and he doesn't recall the name of the shop.

If they are oem caps, the part number is stamped on the back.

Good to know. I'll check for Scargo when I pick up the car.

The owner said that the Audi factory leaves it off unless the customer wants it on.

Gotta love the German propensity toward anonymity.

Such a hot car at $16k. Makes me think about selling my legacy.

Right? This is only a little more than what I paid for my 92x a few years ago.

Wow.
Love, love love the s4 avant. My father had one for a little while. That v8 just makes your fingers tingle when you turn the key. Once you get on the gas, you just get the desire to go race people with trashy "muscle" cars.
Enjoy. But I hope premium gas is cheap in HI, or you don't do a ton of driving. 14-16 mpg, IIRC.
