It's snowing good at my house right now. I hope they're on the low side with the 10" estimate for my area.

Nice.
I guess it might get to the awesome 1" per hour snowfall here soon.
Offline
its accumulating, but its hard to gauge depth - it's blowing harder than a cheerleader out there.

I think I froze the left half of my brain.

You Chicagoites got a lot more than we did. There was about a 1/4" - 1/2" on the road this morning. I tried to enjoy it the best I could, but most roads were completely clear.
If you follow my fb you already saw this, but I actually encountered a woman in an Outback going 10 mph in a 40 mph zone, like we were having some ferocious blizzard. Indianapolis has to have the highest concentration of stupid people in the region. I'm convinced of it.

I def agree with you concentration of idiots assessment. In other news I was lazy last night and walked away from my packed rims and wheel wells. No bueno. This morning was bumpy, scrapy ride. Still was able to pass anyone at any time.
Offline
You even have enough snow to pack your wheel wells?

Well, all the parking lots I slid through did that. About 4-6 inches varying in the open lots last night due to the wind. Was slightly patchy (low spots containing some hidden slush spots) and required frequent steering and throttle correction to keep it at a sustained angle. It was more of a variable conditions day than fresh pwder. Woke up to another 2-3 on the ground.

That they are I picked up a set of LM-60's a couple of seasons ago. Tread is at 7/32(starting to lose deep(6+ inches) snow traction) so this is the last winter season for them. Will prob run them late into spring to kill em this year.
Had good results with Dunlop a few years ago, but Still like the Blizzaks better.

I have got about 8-10" by my house. It's still snowing pretty good. The first few inches were wet and sticky, so everything is nicely coated. Leaving my neighborhood I couldn't drive in my lane because the tree branches were bent down so far that you had to drive in the middle.
Offline
Damn, that's a lot. Not sure what we got. Maybe 5-6 inches? Sure was blowing.
I drove about 40 minutes away during the peak of the storm last night. It's times like those that I'm glad I have snow tires. It was sloppy. Did some ridiculous drifts.

we got 6-7, but its been blowing around a lot. hard to really tell.

Total snowfall has come in around 12"+. Not bad considering everything was completely melted before the snow started falling on Thursday night.
The Hero2 has gotten a lot of good use.

I'm pretty sure a Cherokee has brakes on all 4 wheels.

I don't normally get to involve myself in this thread, but Seattle got hit pretty hard this last week. Spent the weekend in Leavenworth, a little Bavarian themed town about 3 hours from Seattle. We heard rumor of snow in Seattle on Saturday as I was enjoying a bluebird day in 8 inches of fresh at the Stevens Pass. Headed back home on Monday to find snow all the way to my place, though not really on the roads. Trekked back to the mountain on Tuesday for 14 inches of fresh and it DUMPED all day long. It is finally raining here, but over the past 3/4 days we got about 12 inches of snow and probably 1/4 to 1/2 inches of freezing rain.
I will admit that Seattle drivers can be helpless when it comes to snow, but the hills and lack of plows do not help the situation. Oh and I don't have snows on but my DWS's did GREAT!
