I removed the pin striping off my girls car yesterday. Came off easy but left lines around the edges of the pin striping. I tried removing it with wax, clay bar and goo gone. None of which are removing it all that well. It has to be left over adhesive mixed with old wax. Any suggestions?
Thanks guys

Try sum rubbing compound rather than a lubricant
Did you try the Mequiar's rubbing compound?
Cleaner wax but I doubt it will touch it. your definitely gonna need something like ..a Orange or Yellow Lake county buffing pad.. they sell em for like 5 bucks for hand applicator pads.. sweet deal if you ask me...
I own and have used all of them for like three years now.. that is if you don't have a buffer.

If I was you I would get the 3 pack for 15 bucks and buy the yellow just in case the light cutting pad (orange ) don't cut it. then you got a white pad to use with polishes , and the red one for wax application.

If it's adhesive use Xenit citrus from Stoner products. By far the most effective adhesive remover I have used, and I've used many. Your going to see the marks where it was though as the paint underneath hasn't gone through what the exposed paint has so you'll need to machine polish it.

I haven't tried any kind of rubbing compound. I'm a fan of Mequiar's so maybe I'll try their rubbing compound. I tried the liquid Mequiar's cleaner wax with no avail. Using buffing pads make me a little nervous.

try Bug and Tar Remover?

3M makes a pinstripe removing tool. It's like a big rubber eraser. I use it all the time to remove vinyl decals/pinstripping. It works really well.
