I never said it was an attempt at a gymkhana video or that Ken block was a good rally driver. However what I did say is this was a blatant copy of what DC and Ken Block have already done to sell DC product. Right down to the fancy camera shots and all. You do know the point of the Gymkhana videos right? Its to sell sell DC product. Maybe the driving style was different but the delivery and the style of video shooting was a rip off of what Ken Block and DC have already done, and done 100 times better. That's all I meant.
- The gymkhana video sTyle is just a rip off of what Top Gear has been doing for years, and doing better.
- DC is not the first company to use motorsports to sell a product. Just look at any NASCAR car.
- Puma arguably makes more sense in a video like this since they actually sell shoes geared towards driving.
- Why does it matter?
-Top Gear isn't selling anything and there are aspects of the Gymkhana video that Top Gear has never used and Puma copied in the their video.
-The Gymkhana videos are nothing like NASCAR advertisements.
-No argument about Puma's being a better fit for this type of video, but its still a copy non the less.
-If it doesn't mater why did you respond?

DC makes driving shoes, do they not?
Yes, they make legitimate FIA approved racing shoes. They meet most sanctioning bodies fire safety rules. But they aren't like SpeedCats. These are the legitimate $200+ high top shoes.

So it's three rides?

It's actually an entire park within Disney California Adventure. You're actually in "Radiator Springs".
I'm not quite clear on how many rides, per se. I know the "race" that you see in the video is about a 2 minute ride, where you meet characters in the movie and then race a fellow ridecar. 50+mph banks throughout the ride. Pretty cool stuff.
I'll scan and post a map next week.

I think the first time I saw that was on here a year or so ago. I would shit myself. Nerve-racking enough just watching it. Props to that dude.

I've seen a bunch of those built before. I actually know a guy that builds them and sells them as a kit.
Being more of a pinball freak, I found this build extremely amazing. Real pinball cabinet with 3 monitors and an unlimited amount of pinball tables to choose from. Can even play your X-box on it!
http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=98252.0 <<< Long thread but a good read if you are into all the geekyness that went into this thing to make it act and react like a real pinball machine.
And his latest build >>> http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showt … -Widebody-(custom-artwork-bezel-less-deep-playfield)

There were over 20 500 Abarths at our last autocross - most were Chrysler company property, but we were waiting for this moment. They were not fast - I beat most of them with my 63K mile all-seasons, so I was struggling to see the point. The Mini guys were laughing their asses off. I'm thinking they are grossly over-rated, and Fiestas and Sonics will eat their lunch if handling is involved at all. Minis will wipe the floor with them... TDS with the Minis sux, btw...
