Welcome to Saab92x.com!

Hi everyone,

This is an announcement to let you all know that saab92x.com/ will be added to the Autoguide.com Mobile App sometime next week. The app is available in a free version, and paid version that can be downloaded for both iPhone and Android devices.  When accessing the site from your mobile device you should be prompted to download the app. You can also search your mobile store for the app, just search "AutoGuide" or you can go straight to http://www.autoguide.com/mobile/ and download it from there. Once you have found and downloaded the app, you will be able to go through the list of sites and locate this site, and maybe find some sites you did not know were out there.

The AutoGuide app is designed to work exclusively with the AutoGuide.com network, so if you happen to frequent several of our forums, you can now access them all in one app.

Hope you guys like it!

Re: My car situation (or: How I got over my 9-2x...)

arrow-up GL with that.  I rather doubt, with the limited #'s of Boss' being built, that they're going to have a notable depreciation curve.  Ford may be smart on this one, by limiting production (not saying that they'll hold it to a # to make it a true collectable, but there will be no excess) on a $50K 'stang, the demand will always be there. Pretty much the same idea on Mini's.  Notice they don't depreciate much, and there will be a whole lot more of them (yeah, it's the price point).

Nope, you can get early thousand model Boss' for like 15 or so. Cobras in that price range as well. Personally, I'd get a Saleen if I was going to get a Mustang but I'm not the biggest stang fan.

arrow-up oh, pre-S197? No S197, no care. Sooo much better a platform.

Sat in/oogled an FR-S today.

That was a mistake.  Now I'm seriously looking into it.  Such a cool car.

Why?  First model year worries?  Not interested in an STi/turbo version, were one made.

Really? Why not? There will be a HUGE performance difference with the turbo version. There's some companies right now who have turbo'd it and it's around 300whp. It's a nasty little car.

Re: My car situation (or: How I got over my 9-2x...)

Because I drive in the city.  Because this car has as much power as a stock Saabaru, but weighs less.  That was just the right amount of power - plenty to be fun, but not enough to be worthless on the street.  I don't need a car that does 0-60 in 4.x seconds, I need a car that's enjoyable to drive on my daily commute.

Also, it will be expensive.  Dealers here are asking MSRP for the Scion, and I get $1000 off for being a recent college grad.  Subaru dealers have be at about $1k below MSRP for a BRZ, which is a much nicer car.

Re: My car situation (or: How I got over my 9-2x...)

If you go to the Linear you should save on insurance costs or get a used 9-3   smile  I have had two of them so far and loved them.  Quick, fuel efficient, and right now a steal to buy them used.  Of course you should have to have an old SAAB dealer close to your area (doesn't have to be in your back yard, usually just smaller stuff went on mine).  You could probably snag a 2006-2007 for your price, and possibly get a third party warranty as well.  I have almost sold my 9-2x a few times to get a 9-3 xwd, but the hatchback is what keeps me.  As soon as I find a 2008 SportCombi xwd I will pounce though!  big_smile

Awesome. I'm interested to see how you like it after a few weeks. I've been highly considering getting an FR-S eventually.

That's the model I'd get, were I in the market (and I might be... starting to get the itch for a new ride).

Re: My car situation (or: How I got over my 9-2x...)

Congrats!

I drove an Auto FRS the other day and was somewhat disappointed, but also loved the sound and could definitely see where some more power would make it the car to beat in the class. If a turbocharged version is around 300hp, like the STi is possibly looking to be, I'd be all over this as my next car.

Re: My car situation (or: How I got over my 9-2x...)

Loving the new ride  up I really want to test drive one soon, although I don't think I want that kind of payment right now. I'm also shocked at your insurance rates, my 92x has been dirt cheap to insure. I have a sub policy off of my parents and at 22 years old full coverage is $200 every 6 months. In comparison, my 99 Honda Civic Ex is $216 every 6 months for just liability/comprehensive. Must have something to do with it being a red 2 door lol. Anyway, congrats on the new ride!  embeer
