Re: How many Bay Area 9-2x'ers are left?

I'll be in a LeMons race up at thunderhill raceway in willows that weekend, so I'll be out for Sept. 15.

Re: How many Bay Area 9-2x'ers are left?

Digging this up from the grave to see if anyone would be interested in trying to get together a bay area/Sac/Nor Cal Saabaru meet this summer?

Re: How many Bay Area 9-2x'ers are left?

I might be down.  I'm gonna be doing a big front knuckle/wheel bearing/ball joint/tie rods/control arm bushings refresh in the next month or so, so we could meet while I do that.  I wouldn't mind some company maybe toward the end of it....if it ends up being anything like my clutch install, I'll need a beer.

Ya, I know last year we were unable to get something together. Let's try again this summer and make it happen!

Kornfield, I think that'd be cool to meet up and provide moral support towards the end of your job. Esp if beers are involved. haha.

I'd love to get some of the Saabarus together for some quick photos at a lot & then do some cruising too  driving . Thoughts anyone? Seen everyone's Saab's here and there on the forum but it'd be cool to chat in person.

Saw this nice gem at San Jose Sharks Ice. Does this belong to anyone here? Looks like I might have a buddy who also plays hockey!  roxor

Awesome.  Perhaps we can collaborate with my i-club buddies and go for a cruise/bbq?

Seems kind of dead around here, but I thought I should check in. Just picked up an 05 Aero a month ago. I live in Alameda, but I'm all over the bay.

Re: How many Bay Area 9-2x'ers are left?

I still see the occasional 9-2X, but don't bother waving.  I'd get funny looks since I'm in some other oddball car.

To be honest, I didn't get that many wave-backs even when I was in my 9-2X.

Re: How many Bay Area 9-2x'ers are left?

Ya, most Saabaru owners don't really know what they're driving and don't wave back, w/ a small exception like those on this forum and some others. Had been going w/o a single Saabaru wave back in Sac until recently. Had 2 in 1 day! Ha score smile

I find it interesting that you had an 05 WRX, then switched to a 6.0 GTO, then went back to an 05 Aero.  My roommate has an 06 GTO and that sh¡t is stupid fast, even with it being an automatic.  What does your Aero look like?  Mine is silver with a STi conversion.

Post up in the for sale/wanted area.  This sub-forum doesn't get much traffic.

I spot a blue linear about once a week on my way to work. We both take the same exit and even sit at the light.... nothing.
